Welcome back, it's always a pleasure to have you. There is lots of content out there, thanks for coming back to check mine out. I appreciate you! =D
Earlier today, as I was hugging my friend Katana right before she toddled off on her merry little way, I was unaware that she had just applied fresh make-up.
I was wearing my brand new 7 Diamonds shirt which cost me about $115 USD. It is very pale blue.
After the hug, I was chagrined to discover that part of her face had been left behind on my shoulder. Bright red greasy lipstick on my light blue shirt. Unamused, I said bye to Katana and grabbed my laptop.
“Twitter will know what to do.”, I assured myself.
So I promptly tweeted the following: “How do I get lipstick out of my clothes?”.
No more than 5 minutes past when @granvillemag sent me the following link:

The site offered a few tactics for removing a grease-based product such as lipstick. I chose the rubbing alcohol method, which I found to be quite lackluster. I then switched tactics and grabbed some Sunlight dish soap (designed specifically to cut through grease) and a clean cloth. I applied a small amount of soap and gently scrubbed the stains.
Awesome! The lipstick was no more! I popped my shirt in the wash and now it hangs clean and ready to wear. Having been emancipated from a life of hand-me-down, op shop nomaddery, it can keep me looking sharp and stylish.
So thank you @granvillemag and thank you Mrs. Clean. http://www.mrscleannw.com/tips/lipstick-stain.html, and of course, thanks Twitter, you’re a gem. =D

So glad it worked! And without the need to apply any toxic chemicals (as a dry cleaner might do)!
I found the answer by Googling “how to get lipstick out of clothing ecofriendly”. Mrs. Clean’s explanation seemed the most likely (degreaser needed to cut oils in lipstick). I added “ecofriendly” to ensure the method prescribed would be easy on the earth and on your own health. So happy to hear it was success!
