Characteristics Of Success For Home Business Owners 2: Be An Expert In At Least One Area In Your Home Business

Welcome back, it's always a pleasure to have you. There is lots of content out there, thanks for coming back to check mine out. I appreciate you! =D

Welcome to the second part of my series on:

Characteristics Of Success For Home Business Owners

Are you a world-class master in ONE area of your business?  Or are you a ‘jack of all trades’ (AKA: broke)?

Are you an expert at lead generation?  Marketing?  Referrals?  Website creation?  Content creation?  Customer support? Are you a master copy writer?

What is it that you are an expert at or becoming an expert at?

Personally, my intention is to become a master at Google Adwords/PPC advertising as a method to generate hundreds and eventually thousands of free, highly targeted leads each month.  How am I doing this?

First I chose what element of my business I wanted to master.  After much research and EDUCATION, and advice I eagerly received from leaders in the industry, it was clear that having the ability to market and generate targeted leads at will was the king-boss of skills (arguably second only to copy writing).

So I bought a couple of courses, learned, and began APPLYING the teachings and techniques of those who are seeing real results on a daily basis.

I am a big, huge, MASSIVE believer in modeling rich and successful people.  Are you?  If not, how’s that working out for you?

I have others on my team who take care of the copy, website creation, follow-up calls, sales, and a collection of automated trainings and support tools for new team members.  All of which frees up my time to focus on and commit to marketing on PPC/Adwords, which generates leads into my sales funnel and the system takes care of the rest.

This is called leverage.

One characteristic of masters, leaders, and highly successful individuals is their willingness to take responsibility.  If you’re in the habit of blaming anyone or anything outside yourself….you are likely not an expert.  Not in the way that I see it. =]

Be careful though, anyone labeling themselves a master without credibility or social proof is likely a disaster.  Once others begin calling someone an expert then my ears perk up and I take notice.  For an example of a ‘false master’, look to the following ego-rich video example:

See Dick call himself an expert, See Dick smash his head repeatadly against solid objects, See Dick fail miserably and to the sheer hilarity of all to see….Don’t be a Dick.
