10 Rules for Personal Finances

Welcome back, it's always a pleasure to have you. There is lots of content out there, thanks for coming back to check mine out. I appreciate you! =D

Today I was reviewing a CD by Kip Herriage on ‘creating a blueprint for complete financial freedom’.  In it he listed the following 10 rules:

  1. Take action.  Sitting and planning and learning is okay, but only Action will accomplish anything.
  2. Pay off nasty-ass Credit Card Debt.  High interest consumer debt is a brutal crutch to financial integrity.
  3. Wants vs. Needs.  Take some time to analyze things that you simply ‘want’ but don’t actually ‘need’ right now. Simplify.
  4. Live on less than you earn.  Seems simple right?  Hmmmmm…easy access to credit not so good maybe?
  5. Pay yourself first.  Take the FIRST 10% of your income and put it into an account.  This money is NOT used for daily expenses.
  6. Set very specific financial goals.  If you don’t know where you’re heading, how will you ever get there?
  7. Educate yourself and be responsible for your own money decisions.
  8. Save AND invest your money for the future.
  9. Protect yourself.
  10. There are many people in this world who are definitely more needy than you, please give generously of time, skills, or money.

May you be grotesquely successful on a galactic scale.  =]
